I am a Graphic Designer and an aspiring Web Designer. I have recently relocated to the Gold Coast and I am currently seeking full-time employment in the area.
I am passionate about advertising, marketing and design. I have been designing for over 5 years and I am just as enthusiastic as I was on the day that I started! I love reading about present, past and future trends. I love to watch and learn from others and I also love to teach others what I have learnt.

Zululand Observer
Position: Graphic Designer

Job description: I was employed by the Zululand Observer as a Graphic Designer. I worked in the Production Department as part of a team responsible for the design of advertisements and layout of our various publications.
My main responsibility was to design adverts to appear in one of our 8 publications namely; Zululand Observer Monday Edition, Zululand Observer Weekend Edition, Bay Watch, North Watch, Eshowe Watch, Eastern Watch, Get it Magazine and Umlozi Wezindaba. Adverts were expected to be print ready and all prepress requirements were met. Working at a newspaper, I often operated under extreme pressure and was required to meet strict deadlines. Although I enjoy working as part of a team I am also quite capable of working alone. I was well liked by my colleagues.
During my time at the company I personally designed hundreds of adverts for a wide range of clients. I designed adverts for clients ranging from small local businesses to large multi-national corporations. I was also responsible for the complete overhaul and redesign of the Zululand Observer website.
I was frequently complimented on the high standard of my work and always achieved a high rate of client satisfaction. Many of our clients insisted that I be solely responsible for the concept and design of their advertisements.
